In my two decades of working with industrial electrical equipment, I’ve learned that even the most advanced systems are only as safe as their grounding. Inside electrical cabinets, where hundreds of amps might run through complex wiring, proper bonding is not optional—it’s a necessity. That’s why I never overlook the importance of earthing braids in these environments.
Compared to rigid cables, earthing braids are incredibly flexible! Space in electrical cabinets is already tight, and components are always moving—either due to equipment vibration, thermal expansion or contraction, or just bumping into each other during manual maintenance. I've seen too many times that rigid braids break after being tossed around a few times, or simply "go on strike" due to poor contact. But flat, thin-stranded braids are different. They can move with the movement, absorbing all the stress, and the system grounding is always stable.
It also reduces impedance, helping the system react faster during electrical faults or transient surges. In high-sensitivity control environments, that difference can mean protecting critical PLCs, VFDs, or sensors from unexpected downtime.
When choosing earthing braids for panel installations, I always check three things—conductivity, mechanical durability, and corrosion resistance. High-purity tinned copper offers the best combination of those factors. I’ve used Dongjue braids for years because they meet these exact requirements. Their braids are soft enough for tight bends but strong enough to maintain form. The tinned finish resists oxidation even in damp environments or coastal installations.
What’s more, Dongjue’s production control ensures consistent braid width and terminal fitting, which makes installation clean and reliable. Whether I’m grounding a motor control center or a small junction box, I know their product won’t fail under load.
I worked with a factory recently that kept experiencing untraceable control circuit failures. After reviewing the system, we realized their old earthing wires were loosely connected and corroded. Once we replaced them with proper earthing braids, everything stabilized. Voltage fluctuations dropped, and static interference in the system nearly disappeared.
That’s when it became clear—neglecting the quality of your grounding can lead to huge inefficiencies and unnecessary downtime. Using trusted earthing braids not only protects your equipment but also increases system longevity and reliability.
If your factory earthing is still using old-fashioned hard braids, or the earthing plate is installed crookedly, it's time to upgrade! Today's new earthing braids are soft and conductive, and the "nerves" of the control system can move as they please - especially in places where the machine shakes a lot and the temperature fluctuates a lot, using it, the earthing is as stable as a magic needle, and the system runs at full capacity!
